History

The Temple of Love and Redemption began with a small group of people who gathered together in the home of Apostle Marlene Thompson in March 2001.

In May of 2001 the Almighty instructed Apostle Thompson to stop having services in her home and that He would provide a place of worship for the church. The Almighty did just what he had said and a temporary location was found. After a short time, the landlord began to overlook the maintenance of the facility. The church began to pray and seek God for another building.

December 2001 the Almighty answered their prayers. ApostleThompson received a phone call from a young man who stated that God revealed to him that she was a real woman of God, and that he had a building he wanted to give to her.

In July 2002 the church was officially open for services. In addition to the weekly Sabbath services, a Sunday outreach service is held to attract those who would not normally visit a Sabbath church.

The vision of the Temple of Love & Redemption, Inc. is to teach and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to be able to offer transition services that will provide food, clothing and shelter services to those in the time of need.

The beginning our ministries started with the vision from Apostle Thompson in December 2000 for The Victorious Women Ministries, a women's ministry focusing on the Empowerment of Women of God.

In December 2002 the Lord impressed upon Apostle Thompson to begin the Men of Praise Ministry focusing on the needs of men and the endeavor to restore them back to their rightful place of Leadership in God's kingdom.

In May 2003, Apostle Thompson saw a need for a communication vehicle for Teen Times and Youth on the Move. These ministries will be online in the very near future.
